The Department for Linking Research and Production is responsible for:

a) identifying and launching calls for proposals of programmes supporting the linking of research  to the productive sector; it is also responsible of taking all necessary measures ensuring  a fair evaluation of the proposals;

b) assigning research projects falling within its scope, monitoring their implementation, reviewing the mid-term and final reports, and accepting/approving the delivered projects;

c) proposing measures for the technological and commercial development of all  of research outcomes;

d) approving the admission of third-party nationals by private research bodies for the purposes of scientific research;

e) addressing any other  issues relevant to its scope.
