The Planning and Programming Department is responsible for:

a) strategic planning in the fields of research and innovation;

b) defining a Strategy for Research and Innovation Infrastructures; establishing the related registries and presenting a Roadmap for Research Infrastructures;

c) monitoring the objectives of the research and innovation measures/actions in the context of national, regional and co-funded programmes;

d) following the economic and social developments in Greece, at the national and regional levels, in conjunction with international developments; suggesting policy measures and interventions to promote and facilitate research and technology activities;

e) monitoring the work of the OECD committees in the research and innovation fields;

f) managing the Registry of Greek Scientists;

g) following the agenda for state aid in the research and innovation fields;

h) addressing any other relevant issues.
