The Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation Department is responsible for:
a) concluding bilateral and multilateral transnational agreements for scientific and technological cooperation; fulfilling the obligations arising from such agreements;
b) suggesting measures to be taken in order to fully exploit Greece’s participation in transnational agreements and bilateral or multi-lateral cooperation activities;
c) monitoring the implementation of transnational agreements concluded under joint research and technology programmes, and pursuing potential funding from Greek sources;
d) establishing joint committees assigned to conclude memoranda of understanding (MoU) for bilateral-multilateral cooperation with other countries; launching transnational cooperation programmes;
e) evaluating, monitoring and managing transnational cooperation programmes;
f) managing European networking programmes launched by the EU;
g) addressing any other relevant issues.
