The Department of Research and Innovation Policy Evaluation and Statistics Processing is responsible for:

a) reviewing the outcomes of programmes implemented by GSRT and the supervised bodies in accordance with international evaluation methods;

b) taking corrective measures based on the results of the reviews and evaluations carried out;

c) assessing the long-term needs of the Greek research and technology system regarding human resources, equipment, building infrastructure and the institutional framework, and suggesting measures for fulfilling those needs;

d) collecting, processing, classifying and presenting data on the research and technology activities in Greece, and introducing the indicators necessary for planning and evaluating the science and technology policy;

e) addressing any other relevant issue.
