The Department for Programme Evaluation and for Research and Technology Bodies’ Infrastructure Development is responsible for:
a) monitoring the scientific activities carried out by Research and Technology Bodies;
b) developing research programmes to support supervised Bodies; launching calls for proposals, monitoring the evaluation, management and acceptance procedures for these projects;
c) funding research programmes carried out by supervised Research and Technology Bodies through the indirect payment scheme under operational programmes launched by other entities;
d) submitting funding proposals for supervised Bodies through the Public Investments Programme (PIP);
e) assessing and evaluating the work carried-out by supervised Bodies and producing the relevant decisions and administrative acts;
f) developing, upgrading, expanding, altering and funding research and technology infrastructures of supervised Bodies;
g) addressing any other relevant issues.
