The current National Strategy for Smart Specialisation, together with its Annexes, is described below.
The National Smart Specialisation Strategy was adopted on August 4, 2015 by Joint Ministerial Decision no 82193/ΕΥΣΣΑ 1810 issued by George Stathakis, Minister of Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping and Tourism, and Konstantinos Fotakis, Alternate Minister of Education, Research and Religious Affairs.
The European Commission, by letter dated 22 October 2015, acknowledged fulfilment of ex-ante conditionality 1.1. on the existence of a national smart specialisation strategy.
