COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology – is a European Framework for the transnational coordination of nationally founded research activities. COST’s mission is to strengthen Europe’s scientific and technical research capacity by supporting cooperation and interaction between European Researchers, covering both basic and more applied or technological research.
General Secretariat for Research and Technology and COST in collaboration with National Center of Scientific Research Demokritos and University of Western Macedonia are organizing a COST information Day in February 25th 2014 at the premises of NCSR Demokritos.
The purpose of this information day is to introduce the COST programme and opportunities in the Greek scientific community. This effort is part of COST's commitment to increase inclusiveness in COST activities, while fostering scientific excellence throughout Europe.
COST info day will provide to Greek scientists the chance to explore the COST thematology and exploit its scientific opportunities. Furthermore the scientific community will be able to ask questions and discuss with the COST officials and Greek COST participants, all issues concerning a successful participation in a COST Action. The programme also includes a discussion with tips and guidelines on how to prepare successful proposals for COST Open Call.
